Just when you think things are going one way, things go another! And so 2021 is off to an interesting start…. world events of course but on a personal level too. The job at Stand Strong came to a quick close as another opportunity to provide more for the family came my way. This was at our local FedEx. I actually became a professional driver and courier for FedEx Express in our SLO office. I worked the PEAK busy season with some of the most fantastic people I have ever had the chance to work with. It was the hardest I have ever worked, physically, in a long time! As much as I loved the people and learned that I could actually do this job, my heart is seeking something different. This decision has not been the easiest to take, especially in this Covid era. But today was my last day. I left on good terms and I do hope to see those amazing folks in some way, shape or form in the future! They inspired me to create a “FedEx Manifesto,” which I shared with them and will share here too. I truly believe that each challenge I have taken on has allowed me to grow…. even at 51 years of age, I am constantly learning. I am grateful for my short but meaningful time there.
