So in honor of my little word for this year, I have decided to participate in a 5-Day cleanse. A friend of mine is doing it via facebook, and through we are only in day two, I feel so much better. At first I thought it would be hard preparing my own meals while prepping the family’s, but to my surprise it’s working well.
I’ll update as the week comes to an end, but it’s nice to finally see some positive results.
Also working a unique schedule has allowed me to still be in the girls classroom and be home with them in the afternoons. Sure there are some weekends, but all in all I am now getting used to it.
Been drawing and creating more and getting the girls involved more too….as I’ve been cleaning and organizing things I came across these old drawings…I love finding old things…in a sense…making them new–transforming!!
And here are some of their creations too…the Birds are Isara’s
And the starfish are Tamra’s
Hope you can find some time to transform your time into creative time!
In my class at The Yoga Center of Morro Bay, last week, our instructor said a little “prayer (not religious)” during our Savasana. Savasana is a pose at the end of the practice where we are still and comfortable and taking all that we have done in, in a lying down position similar to simply sleeping face and body up, towards the ceiling. During our Savasana, she said a little prayer that talked about forgiveness, love and gratitude. And it didn’t hit me till I was in the car driving home, that I burst into tears…tears of joy, of sadness, of dispair, of happiness…and peace. My emotions came over me in such a swell, that I almost had to pull over to simply let it all out.
After arriving home, getting some things done, I sat down and created simple subway piece that inspired me from that mornings session. I share it here with you now hoping it brings you something to your mind. Do share, pin and print as you wish! I hope to add this to my online shop where it will be printed on special paper, ready to ship and give. Enjoy and Namaste!
Just sharing some old, but new now, creations I made back in the day! I can feel the seasons’s change upon us. The weather, the crisp of the air…something is there! Enjoy the change of seasons! Have that warm cup of chai tea and study the rain…play and play often! I welcome comments and look forward to hearing how your seasons are changing for you!
